Following on from last week’s article, which introduced Skipton’s brand new Farmers and Craft Market, where we introduced the founder of the market and met four of the crafters who will be there, we had such a great response from that article so we wanted to know who else would be there! So, we asked some of the stall owners to give us a short introduction to their businesses, their stalls and what they do best!

Now it’s the season to get all the garden plants in, I will be providing bedding and garden plants. We also provide gifts from confetti and wedding gifts within the shop to candle Holders and scented candles.”
“We are Penny’s Butchers, an established butchers that have been trading since 1920. We pride ourselves on our excellent quality meats specialising in extra lean. We have an excellent reputation and families have been coming to us through the generations time and time again. All our meats we sell are extra lean and our beef is locally sourced. We make all our own burgers, sausages & everything we sell is homemade.”
La Chocolatina UK
“La Chocolatina UK is a husband and wife team based in Blackburn Lancashire we handmake Artisan Belgium chocolates and truffles. We use the finest Belgium chocolate that is supplied from sustainable cocoa farmers. We have recently introduced Gin Truffles on our stall and purchase some of our gin from a local producer – Bluestone Brewery based in Whitworth. We are always looking to introduce new products on our stall that we have made.”
The Little Badger Cider Co.
“Hi, our company is the little badger cider co. We make all our own ciders including scrumpy and perry. We also have a selection of fruit ciders including elderflower, we are based in Holmfirth and have been trading for about four years. The cider idea was thought of my 12-year-old son, who helps us bottle and label the products but can’t sample any yet.”

“Hi! We hire equipment for both kids and adults whether it’s a 2nd birthday or a 50th anniversary. Some of our services include bouncy castles, soft play, packages, face painting & balloon displays. We will be face painting at the market!”
Buckley and Boodle
“Hi, I’m Donna the owner of ‘Buckley and Boodle’ We make the BEST Jams and chutneys in Yorkshire. Have won many prizes from judges at many shows over the years, so decided that folks like my Jam! It has to be different to those on supermarket shelves so my main thing is high fruit content that I source as local as I can. It keeps costs down for all of us. I’m extremely conscientious and would never sell anything I didn’t class as ‘worth it’!”
